Job Title: Senior Technical Accountant

The job
As a Senior Technical Accountant, you will support the Group Financial Reporting Manager and the wider group accounting team on ensuring the Group’s compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Production of the group year-end financial statements and associated disclosures with the support from team members;
- Supporting the external audit process, interacting with the audit team and providing relevant documentation;
- Support the project management of the global subsidiaries audit timetable/ sign off status monitoring/ fees;
- Managerial responsibility for a technical accountant who will report directly into this role
- Support Group Financial Reporting Manager to ensure the accuracy, completeness and documentation of group accounting entries, including recurring and one-off group accounting and consolidation adjustments.
- Documentation of technical matters and accounting steps for ad-hoc projects for the Group;
- Calculating the required accounting adjustments for acquisitions, divestments and other transactions across the group;
- Analytical review of balance sheet reporting at an entity and Group level;
- Assisting in the review and maintenance of the Group accounting policies and manual; and
- Ad-hoc support on the various technical accounting and group reporting work streams.

Ideal skills
- Ensuring that consolidated group financial statements are prepared in accordance with required standards in line with the prescribed timelines;
- Ensuring that all consolidation adjustments are calculated accurately and documented to an auditable standard; and
- Being seen as a valuable source of support to controllers to help achieve reporting deadlines and report in accordance with group policies.
- Qualified accountant with experience of consolidations
- Building relationships quickly/interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
