Job Description

Working within the Group Finance team, this role is integral in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of our financial results. The team is responsible for the Group’s financial reporting, coordinating month and quarter end processes, consolidating results, managing centralized accounting areas such as leases, and providing technical expertise to the wider finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager – Group Finance, this position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, growing global business operating under a SOX environment and transitioning to multi-GAAP reporting (US GAAP and IFRS), in multiple currencies. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across various countries, making it ideal for a newly qualified accountant seeking their first industry role. The team consists of 3-4 members.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial reporting disclosures for subsidiary financial statements.
  • Coordinate external audits and internal reviews, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Manage month-end consolidation and close processes, ensuring accuracy of key balance sheet items.
  • Handle accounting for leases across all group entities.
  • Prepare monthly journal files and ensure SOX compliance in supporting documentation.
  • Submit monthly and quarterly reporting packages to the parent company.
  • Assist the finance team in driving the month-end process, ensuring high-quality, timely completion of tasks.
  • Ensure key controls are prepared and operating effectively.
  • Engage with stakeholders including finance teams, auditors, tax, treasury, and business partners.

The role is based in our Cambridge office with a hybrid working arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent) and have experience working within or auditing large, listed multinational companies. Ability to influence senior staff is essential.
