Job summary

Harper May Limited, a private equity backed wealth management group, is strengthening its finance team with a newly appointed CFO. This role sits at the heart of the group's financial and regulatory reporting, offering a clear path to Financial Controller.

Based in London with hybrid working, you will own regulatory reporting, run month-end close, consolidate group reporting, support audits, and contribute to system improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Hands-on FCA regulatory reporting experience in wealth, asset management or regulated financial services.
• Strong technical grounding in financial reporting and consolidation.
• Experience of month-end close and audit within a group structure.
• Ambition to progress to Financial Controller with a proven track record.
• Organised and proactive with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the group's regulatory reporting, preparing and submitting FCA returns accurately and on time.
• Run the month-end close for group entities and prepare management accounts.
• Prepare consolidated group reporting and reconciliations.
• Support the year-end audit and statutory accounts.
• Strengthen controls, processes and documentation across financial and regulatory reporting.
• Deputise for the Financial Controller and provide continuity across the function.
• Work with the CFO and FP&A on reporting improvements and new systems.
