Were hiring: Group Finance Manager

Are you a senior finance professional with a passion for operational excellence and process transformation? Mattioli Woods is looking for a Group Finance Manager to lead and optimise our financial operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and strong controls across accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), credit control, and reconciliations.

What we’re looking for
  • professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • proven experience with 10+ years leading finance operations and driving efficiencies across teams and processes
  • strong knowledge of AP/AR, credit control, reconciliations, and financial systems change
  • experience in financial modelling, scenario analysis, and performance enhancement across key performance indicators
  • quantifiable track record of leading technical teams and implementing process enhancement with double-digit efficiency improvements
  • previous experience in a private equity (PE) backed business highly desirable
  • financial services experience an advantage
Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Finance Director, you will drive operational change across the finance function, balancing tactical execution with strategic vision. You’ll lead day-to-day finance operations while implementing robust systems and standardised processes to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
  • In This Role, You’ll
  • develop and implement a strategic vision for financial operations, aligned to organisational goals, including integration of group entities and future acquisitions
  • oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with a real focus on not just running processes but improving them
  • identify process improvement opportunities, standardising workflows, and implementing continuous improvement methodologies
  • optimise cash flow, reduce outstanding receivables, and strengthen financial controls working as a key partner to our treasury, commercial, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions
  • lead, develop, and mentor high-performing finance operations teams
  • evaluate and implement technology solutions to automate processes and enhance reporting
  • collaborate across Finance, IT, and senior leadership to drive operational excellence
