Job Description:
Group Financial Director for HNWI’s Family Office and portfolio of businesses.
A British, creative HNWI with a portfolio of business interests across industries focused on entertainment, F & B, and unique lifestyle products is seeking an experienced Group Financial Director to oversee financial operations.
The role will primarily be remote, with travel on an as-required basis to the company sites in Central London and the South. Office space in Central London will be available later in 2025.
The role reports to the HNWI’s Chief of Staff and has full accountability for all financial operations within the private office and group of companies.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as a core member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), shaping group strategy with the HNWI’s Chief of Staff and Strategic Advisor, supporting the HNWI Owner. Provide strategic financial leadership across the group, working closely with General Managers and senior staff to execute business plans.
- Lead, structure, and improve the group finance function. Conduct reviews, refine processes for efficiency and value, and recruit and mentor talent to build a high-performing team.
- Lead financial planning and performance reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and monthly management accounts and MI packs.
- Oversee tax compliance and reporting under UK GAAP, including VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, and international filings, collaborating with internal teams and external advisors.
- Manage external advisory relationships across accounting, audit, tax, legal, IP, and strategic consultants.
- Maintain the group company structure to maximize efficiencies and synergy, including tax, compliance, and legal structuring.
- Serve as statutory director across all group companies. Prepare and chair board meetings, produce board packs, record minutes, and manage resolutions and follow-up actions.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant with post-qualification experience as a Finance Director/CFO, managing growing and evolving teams, ideally across diversified industry groups or multi-entity structures.
- Proven expertise in statutory reporting under UK GAAP, group consolidations, tax compliance, and financial modelling.
- Experience in manufacturing, multi-site restaurant/pub, and entertainment industries is preferred.
- Experience managing finance for a high-net-worth individual or family office environment is advantageous.
