The Group Finance Business Partner supports the Group Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Senior Management team (Finance and Operations) and external stakeholders across all business units.

In this role, you will manage a team is responsible for leading annual budget and reforecasting for their own business units. You will prepare and present each business unit to the Executive and Senior Management teams and facilitate discussion about opportunities and risks for each stage in the budget/reforecast.

You will work closely with the Group Commercial Finance Manager throughout the year on the budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes and on projects given by the Head of FP&A. You will also work closely with the Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO) on the reporting requirements for each business area, business cases and financial modelling.

  • Key support to the Group Head of FP&A throughout the year as part of the budgeting, periodic reforecasting and long-term strategic & financial planning processes.
  • Work alongside the Group Commercial Finance Manager on the Budget process for the group alongside two formal in year reforecasts down to EBITDA.
  • Lead Group consolidation process for budget, reforecasts and month end.
  • Business Partnering to senior internal and external stakeholders across the business.
  • Month end reporting (with support from Management Accounts team).
  • Tracking and reporting on Capital spend supporting the production team for each business unit.
  • Instil ‘continuous improvement’ approach to all reporting and planning.
  • Improve resilience, consistency and impact of existing reporting through development, standardization and optimization of underlying processes and operations in both MS Excel and source systems.
  • Manage, motivate, develop and inspire a small team of finance analysts reporting directly into this role.

Key aspects we will be looking for:

  • Experience working in a business facing finance role in a sales driven, fast-paced organisation alongisde senior directors.
  • Experience of owning and leading on Budgeting and Forecasting.
  • Demonstrable experience using analytical thinking and financial acumen in a similar role.
  • Experience of people management.
  • Advanced level of Excel is essential and proficient in Powerpoint and Power BI.
