About the role

To support our communications team, we are seeking a talented and passionate Group External Communications Manager – Maternity Cover for a 12 month contract. You will have the opportunity to help in building and implementing our external communications strategy and a strong global corporate brand for the Group and work on various communications projects.

The role will be based either in our offices in London or Geneva and will report to the Group Senior Communications Manager. You will work closely with Verisure’s growing global and local communications team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Help develop and implement a best-in-class external communications strategy for the Group, supporting our ambitious business vision
  • Develop and manage global external communications projects
  • Support the company and its countries in managing issues and crises
  • Write, review, and edit diverse content for a variety of audiences (e.g. statements and Q&As, plans, presentations, messaging, talking points, web content, videos, media releases etc.)
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with key business areas and provide external communications advice and support

Candidate profile:

We see this role as critical for the achievement of Verisure’s growth and transformation goals. We are looking for a high potential, top performer individual who will combine a solid communications track record with strong project management skills and a proactive business mindset. The ideal candidate will be a strategic solution provider as well as operational enabler.

  • Around 7-10 years of experience in corporate/external communication roles in global, fast paced, and commercially focused organizations
  • Successful education track record with university degree qualification(s) in business and/or communications-related subject(s)
  • Proven business and commercial acumen, optimizing communications impact on the business and its people
  • Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills
  • Strong awareness and understanding of the different social media platforms
  • Proven track record of getting things done and leading projects to measurable impact
  • High level of written and spoken English, additional languages are a plus
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Responsiveness, multi-tasking and balancing customer demands while managing multiple deliverables/deadlines
  • Experience of working in international environment and with diverse and remote teams
