Fantastic new opportunity for a Group Electrical Installation & Maintenance Engineer to join a leading specialist manufacturer. This is an opportunity to join an established organisation with over 50 years in the industry. The organisation is award-winning and has a strong track record.

This role is suited for a driven, motivated engineer with strong electrical skills.

The Group Electrical Installation & Maintenance Engineer will be based within commuting distance of Rochdale, Bolton, Manchester, Oldham, or Littleborough.

The shift is days, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with early finish on Fridays. There is a 1-in-7 call-out system.

Responsibilities and requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Strong fault-finding skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with AC & DC Drives, wiring testing, panel building, instrumentation, and installation.
  • Experience with Siemens PLCs; fault-finding skills are crucial; programming experience is a plus.
  • Experience with planned preventive maintenance.
  • Routine servicing and inspection of machinery.
  • Testing of equipment and systems.
  • Experience with ATEX equipment is preferred.
  • A balanced skill set of mechanical and electrical knowledge, ideally a 70/30 split.
  • Apprentice-trained maintenance electrician.
  • Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3).
  • Knowledge of 17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing qualification.
