Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Group Compliance & Facilities Manager to take ownership of building management, fleet compliance, ISO standards, and overall health & safety across our depot network in the UK and Ireland. This is a pivotal role ensuring our operations remain compliant, safe, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

1. Building Management, Safety & Compliance

  • Oversee facilities management across all UK and Ireland depots (maintenance, repairs, inspections).
  • Ensure buildings meet legal compliance requirements (fire safety, electrical, gas, environmental).
  • Manage contractors and service providers ensuring SLAs and safety protocols are met.
  • Lead audits, inspections, and risk assessments of depot facilities.

2. Fleet Compliance & Safety (150+ Vehicles)

  • Maintain oversight of the company fleet via fleet management systems.
  • Ensure all vehicles are compliant with legal and company standards (MOT, insurance, roadworthiness).
  • Develop and maintain fleet safety programs and driver compliance (including licence checks, telematics, incident management).
  • Monitor and report on KPIs related to fleet efficiency, safety and cost.

3. ISO & Regulatory Compliance

  • Lead the implementation, certification and ongoing maintenance of relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Prepare and coordinate external audits and internal reviews.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures aligned with best practices and ISO frameworks.
  • Ensure continual improvement and corrective action tracking.

4. General Health & Safety

  • Act as the company’s Health & Safety lead, ensuring legal compliance across all operations.
  • Conduct regular site safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Drive a culture of safety through training, communication and engagement.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation and best practice, advising leadership accordingly.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar multi-site compliance, H&S or facilities management role.
  • Strong understanding of UK & Irish H&S legislation, fleet compliance, and property management.
  • Demonstrable experience managing ISO certification processes.
  • Experience with fleet management systems and vehicle compliance reporting.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification (or equivalent) essential.
  • Excellent organisational, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional compliance initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel to depots across the UK and Ireland regularly.
