XUM Enterprise Ltd. is a dynamic, mission-driven business that operates in the worldwide B2B e-commerce and circular economy sectors. We source, gather, refurbish, and deliver thousands of items per month, ranging from desktops and laptops to entire enterprise IT systems.

Our goals are to decrease the amount of e-waste produced worldwide, prolong the lifecycle of technology, and maintain the highest standards of compliance, safety, and care. With ISO-aligned systems and a global presence in the UK, UAE, China, and Europe, we integrate e-commerce, logistics, and industrial-scale processing at our Manchester headquarters.

This Role Is Not Typical of Finance

We are seeking an accountant that can fully oversee all aspects of our financial operations, including daily transactions, audit preparation, reconciliations, and real-time performance analysis across many markets.

This role involves impact, ownership, and accuracy. As XUM Enterprise continues to expand quickly, you will be the one making sure we maintain control.

The Position

To oversee the entire finance operation, we are hiring a highly qualified accountant. You will be the company’s financial skeleton, handling everything from margin analysis to cash flow estimates, from supplier payments to VAT returns.

Because of your extensive expertise with Xero, you will feel comfortable using it as the main processing, analysis, and reporting system. Additionally, you will assist the team by creating Google Sheets dashboards that provide real-time insight into cash flow, performance, and margins.

What You’ll Have
  • Complete oversight of daily transactions, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable and receivable
  • Payroll submissions, VAT returns, and HMRC/statutory filings that are timely and accurate
  • Monitoring and reporting departmental performance, expenses, and margins in real time
  • Building and maintaining financial dashboards with Xero exports and Google Sheets
  • Examination of multi-currency commerce in Europe, China, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom
  • Assistance with cash flow management, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Internal finance procedures are continuously improved to meet audit and compliance requirements.
What We’re Seeking
  • Accountant, either fully or partially qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, ACA, or equivalent)
  • Strong practical understanding of financial compliance, payroll, reconciliations, and VAT
  • Practical knowledge of Xero, including routines for reconciliation and report creation
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets or Excel, including pivot tables and custom calculations
  • It is advantageous to have prior experience managing foreign or multi-currency finance.
  • Well-organised, meticulous, and proactive—you don’t wait for instructions
  • An effective communicator who can explain finance to teams that aren’t in the finance industry
What We Provide
  • Permanent, full-time position in a developing global business
  • Direct involvement from the start, aided by a knowledgeable staff
  • Exposure to multi-market finance, international trade, and compliance systems
  • Instruction in internal controls, audit preparation, and ISO-aligned systems
  • A culture that is performance-driven and where your efforts have a noticeable effect
  • Sponsorship for a skilled worker visa is available (if eligible)
