Finatal are working with a mid-market Private Equity firm to recruit a Group CFO for a new business services buy-and-build based in the North West of England. Currently operating at ~£15m EBITDA they are looking to drive 4x growth over 5 years through extensive UK and European M&A, plus organic growth, and cost synergies.

The role would suit an experienced CFO with an extensive background in M&A heavy Private Equity environments. The ideal candidate will have worked in PE business services companies, with extensive operational complexity and intensity.

Prior experience as a CFO in a PE-backed business is required.

The Role:

  • Work with the CEO and PE to set and execute rapid growth strategy
  • Control financial risk, manage debt covenants and bank relationships
  • Manage the group finance function, including owning consolidation of group accounts
  • Lead divisional finance directors, set budgets and drive divisional EBITDA improvement
  • Help identify, execute and integrate bolt-on acquisition opportunities
  • Drive UK and European expansion through inorganic and organic channels

Requirements:

  • Track record as a CFO in Private Equity backed businesses is essential
  • Proven capacity to think strategically for the long term in an M&A heavy environment
  • Proven ability to manage exceptionally intense operational environments, delegating when needed
  • Good understanding of the business services sector
  • Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
