Job Description:

Parkinson Lee Executive Search are currently partnering with a US Private Equity Owned, Fast Growing, International business within the Industrial Technology Sector, in the appointment of a Group CEO.

The Group CEO will be responsible for setting and executing the Group’s strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and driving financial performance globally. They will lead the expansion of international operations, champion sustainable growth, and align global markets with the Group’s strategic vision.

Initially, the CEO’s focus will be on leading the integration of three business units with a combined turnover of approximately £140 million and a workforce of around 850 employees. Over the next 3-4 years, the CEO will drive sustained growth and profitability by leveraging synergies, enhancing market position, and navigating the complexities of scaling operations across international teams and geographies. The CEO will also guide the Group through successful acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration to unlock synergies and optimise operational alignment.

The businesses are based across the UK, with international operations, positioning the Group well for further global expansion and success.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing business strategies that align with the company’s mission, vision, and long-term objectives
  • Identifying market trends, opportunities, and risks to inform strategic planning and business development
  • Overseeing the integration of the Group's products and services to provide cohesive solutions to clients
  • Driving revenue growth by expanding existing markets and identifying new market opportunities
  • Leading the sales and marketing teams in developing strategies to increase market share and customer engagement
  • Identifying, leading, and participating in the due diligence on future acquisitions

We are looking to speak to CEOs with the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as a Group CEO within a global business with a turnover of at least £200 million and with multiple standalone businesses
  • A thorough understanding of the utilities or industrial technology/automation sectors is highly desirable
  • Strong commercial acumen and demonstrable success in driving business growth internationally, managing P&L, and leading diverse teams
  • Experience in business integrations, mergers, or acquisitions is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, particularly EBITDA and working capital optimisation
  • Proven ability to drive growth, identify new market opportunities, and scale operations.
  • Strong track record of developing and leading high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve organisational objectives
  • A track record of defining and executing strategic goals that align with both short- and long-term objectives
  • Expertise in identifying trends, opportunities, and risks to inform business strategies
