Job summary

Finsbury Food Group is seeking a Group Capex Programme Lead to join our Group Engineering & Excellence team. The role will drive capital expenditure governance across manufacturing sites, prioritise projects, and ensure delivery on time and within budget.

You will partner with senior leaders across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain, travel across sites, and help shape the capital strategy for automation, sustainability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management or related discipline.
• Formal Project Management qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience leading capital projects or capital programmes within manufacturing/FMCG.
• Experience managing multi-site capital investment programmes and governance.
• Strong stakeholder management with influence across levels.
• Willingness to travel across Finsbury sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance and control of the capital investment portfolio.
• Oversee spend, milestones, risks and benefits with senior leadership visibility.
• Develop long-term capital investment strategy for automation and efficiency.
• Standardise governance, stage-gate controls, safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain.
• Coach and develop project managers and engineering teams.
