Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a household name to appoint a Group Application Development Manager. You will lead the in-house software development team and act as the main link between the business and technology, shaping how software gets delivered across the Group.

You will set priorities, improve ways of working and influence the wider Application Development & Test strategy, with real scope to drive efficiency and standards across multiple brands.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience leading software development or IT teams.
• Experience managing budgets, resources and supplier relationships.
• Strong stakeholder management at all levels.
• Track record of continuous improvement and developing people.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing the Group Software Development team.
• Delivering the Application Development & Test roadmap, including projects, enhancements, fixes and BAU work.
• Managing demand, priorities and stakeholder relationships across the Group.
• Running backlogs, sprints, capacity and resource planning.
• Simplifying processes, standardising ways of working and lifting team efficiency.
• Making sure development standards meet best practice, security and governance requirements.
• Setting KPIs and reporting on delivery, capacity and risk.
• Managing third-party suppliers and service delivery.

This is a chance to lead the software development function at the heart of a large, well-invested group. You'll head up a talented in-house team, act as the main link between the business and technology, and shape how software gets delivered across the Group. The role carries real influence: you'll set priorities, improve ways of working and help shape the wider Application Development & Test strategy.

What you'll be doing
