About Our Client

The client is a small retail brand that produces luxury jewellery. They are a well-established, family-owned brand keen to hire a Group Accountant to join the finance team. The successful candidate will work alongside the Head of Finance in a small team of 2 and collaborate closely with the CEO and Owner to manage the company's finances and support business growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company's financial data and ensure compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
  • Manage daily operations of the finance team, including all bookkeeping activities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and oversee the end-to-end monthly and yearly closing processes.
  • Review financial plans and budgets regularly to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze financial reports and data to detect discrepancies.
  • Implement systems to minimize errors in data collection and calculations.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to the Head of Finance.
  • Assist in presenting financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and board members.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have approximately 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within an SME environment.
  • Be qualified by experience or an ACCA/CIMA finalist.
  • Possess prior experience in retail, fashion, or FMCG sectors (highly preferred).
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Be willing to work 5 days a week at the Chelsea office.
