About Our Client

Our client is a market leading global manufacturing business with an office in Glasgow.

Job Responsibilities
  • Preparation of group consolidated monthly management accounts including financial analysis and commentary.
  • Planning and preparation of consolidated group annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Preparation of head office companies' management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and year-end audit requirements.
  • Oversee and review the bookkeeping of head office company.
  • Prepare tax computations for head office companies.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller and CFO in year-end consolidation and group accounts, including audit planning, group consolidation, and statutory accounts production.
  • Support subsidiary statutory accounts process and review subsidiary accounts.
  • Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Assist in delivering the group's internal audit plan.
  • Assist with group treasury functions, ensuring accurate cash forecasting and management.
  • Build effective relationships with operational and finance teams across the business.
  • Provide ad hoc support to subsidiary finance teams as needed.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified CA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, FRS, IFRS, laws, and best practices.
  • Ability to research and implement new financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to process and present large data sets clearly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to contribute significantly to the finance function.
