Job summary

Distinct Recruitment is sourcing for a Group Accountant in Nottingham to oversee financial accounting for multiple European entities. You’ll manage month end, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory accounts, VAT and cash flow forecasting, with involvement in the annual audit.

The role offers autonomy and a path to broader international exposure. The ideal candidate is fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), with strong accounting technicals and a proactive mindset to improve processes across the

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Experience across financial accounting, statutory accounts and audit
• Able to understand and analyse the numbers rather than simply produce them
• Ambitious and keen to keep developing European accounting experience would be useful but isn’t essential
• UK multi-entity environment background could work well from practice to industry

Responsibilities

• Manage month end and balance sheet reconciliations across entities
• Prepare statutory accounts and VAT
• Forecast cash flow and assist budgeting processes
• Oversee annual audit across multiple entities
• Identify improvements and standardise processes across the international finance team
