About Our Client

Our client, a highly successful FMCG business supplying products B2B, is recruiting for a Group Accountant / Finance Manager based in Farnham, Surrey. Hybrid working available. The company operates across various regions under a group of companies.

Job Description

As the Group Accountant / Finance Manager, you will work in a friendly, focused team, taking ownership of your responsibilities with support from a CFO keen on staff development. Main objectives include:

• Collaborating with the CFO and FC to improve and implement monthly management reporting at group level.
• Utilizing Xero and Syft Analytics.
• Supporting Financial Control in:
• Ledger clean-up and updating year-end trial balances in line with statutory accounts.
• Maintaining ledgers in Xero.
• Participating in projects alongside the CFO.
• Conducting monthly balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Implementing and reporting on KPIs such as stock figures, units ordered, scrappage, and operational profitability.
• Potentially handling some Company Secretarial duties.
• Liaising with overseas finance colleagues to ensure timely receipt of financial information.

You will be supported by the Finance Manager and an Accounts Assistant, with plans for a Junior Accountant in the future.

• Experience in a similar role
• Qualified by experience, CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified, or AAT Qualified
• Group accounting experience
• Good at prioritizing tasks
