Job summary

Domestic & General is recruiting a Group Accountant to deliver accurate Group reporting and insightful financial commentary. The role sits within Group Finance and works closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury and external auditors to support performance and decision-making.

The successful candidate will have ACA/ACCA or equivalent, strong IFRS knowledge, and experience in Group reporting and financial controls within regulated financial services.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Experience in Group reporting, financial control, audit or statutory reporting within insurance or regulated financial services.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate data into insight.
  • Advanced Excel and confidence with finance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely Group reporting to support business decisions.
  • Provide analysis of financial performance, highlighting trends, risks and drivers.
  • Support annual and statutory IFRS reporting.
  • Partner with finance teams to improve reporting quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to investor, lender and leadership reporting with insightful commentary.
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance and documentation across the Group.
  • Assist audit activity and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
