Job summary

Tempting Recruitment is recruiting a Group Accountant for a 12-month assignment in Bristol. The role offers £500 a day (Umbrella) and will lead the Collection Fund accounting, forecasting, and statutory returns.

You will manage debt impairment and appeal provisions, oversee NNDR inputs, and present management information to budget holders. The ideal candidate will be CCAB-qualified (or equivalent) with experience in local authority accounting and statutory reporting to preceptors and external

Qualifications

• CCAB-qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Experience resolving technical accountancy issues within a local authority or similar organisation.
• Significant experience of Collection Fund accounting, statutory returns and local authority financial reporting.
• Specialist knowledge of Collection Fund accounting, business rates retention arrangements and council tax accounting.
