Job description

We have a fantastic Group Accountant opportunity with an SME manufacturing group with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation. As Group Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities. You’ll be responsible for consolidations, statutory accounts, and supporting the month-end close, while also driving improvements in financial processes and controls.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements across multiple business units.

• Lead on group reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP.

• Support the audit process and liaise with external auditors.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Provide insight and analysis to support strategic financial decisions.

• Identify opportunities to improve systems, controls, and reporting efficiencies.

Ideally, candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

• Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent).

• Strong technical accounting knowledge.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Meticulous approach to financial reporting and compliance.

• Confident communicator with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

• Proficient in IT, and advanced Excel skills.

• Knowledge of various ERP systems, or consolidation or accounts preparation software is desirable.
