We have a fantastic Group Accountant opportunity with an SME manufacturing group with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation. As Group Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities. You’ll be responsible for consolidations, statutory accounts, and supporting the month-end close, while also driving improvements in financial processes and controls.
Key responsibilities will include:
Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements across multiple business units.
Lead on group reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP.
Support the audit process and liaise with external auditors.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Provide insight and analysis to support strategic financial decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve systems, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
Ideally, candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experience:
Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent).
Strong technical accounting knowledge.
Strong analytical skills.
Meticulous approach to financial reporting and compliance.
Confident communicator with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficient in IT, and advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge of various ERP systems, or consolidation or accounts preparation software is desirable.
