Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the Group Financial Controller and CFO across group reporting.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare accurate consolidated group financial statements.
• Act as key contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Oversee statutory accounts and compliance across regions.
• Maintain accounting policies in line with UK GAAP.
• Review leases, revenue recognition, intercompany balances, and controls.

GROUP ACCOUNTANT – PE-BACKED INTERNATIONAL MEDIA BUSINESS

LONDON – HYBRID (1 DAY IN OFFICE) – PERMANENT

We’re working with a PE-backed international media business that’s scaling rapidly and building a strong global footprint. This Group Accountant role offers wide exposure across multiple entities and regions, providing the opportunity to work closely with senior finance leaders and drive process improvements across the group.

This role isn’t purely reporting-focused; you’ll also gain exposure to commercial finance, FP&A, and a variety of ad hoc projects, making it a broad and hands-on position within the business.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CA)
• Strong technical accounting and group reporting skills
• Confident managing audits, statutory accounts, and compliance across multiple entities
• Proactive and process-minded, comfortable in a fast-moving, evolving environment

THE ROLE

• Support the Group Financial Controller and CFO across all aspects of group reporting and compliance
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare accurate consolidated group financial statements
• Act as key contact for external auditors and tax advisors
• Oversee statutory accounts, corporation tax, and VAT/GST compliance across regions
• Maintain and update accounting policies in line with UK GAAP
• Review technical accounting areas such as leases, revenue recognition, and intercompany balances
• Contribute to the development of internal controls and process improvements
• Partner with finance and commercial teams to enhance accuracy, insight, and reporting quality

YOUR PROFILE

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CA)
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and consolidated reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communicator – able to work effectively across international teams
• Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth environment desirable
