Job summary

ABPM are supporting the recruitment of a Group Accountant for an International group with a UK headquarters. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual on the cusp of qualification or who is a fully qualified accountant to utilise their strong technical knowledge from their training or experience in a financial accounting role. Working with a team led by two forward-looking and enthusiastic leaders, this role represents a great developmental role for your experience and personality, given the culture of the business. An analytical thinker and active problem solver who, in addition to delivering in the role, will be able to help refine and support business processes.

Responsibilities
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations including debts, accruals, prepayments, transactions, fixed assets, income.
  • Build balance sheet commentary with analysis for discussions with senior staff.
  • Statutory reporting and taxes.
  • Contributions towards month and year-end reporting.
  • Seek continuous improvements and drive accounting quality.
  • Liaise across multiple functions and disciplines to build and support processes and resolve queries.
  • Ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Qualifications
  • ACA / ACCA / ACMA - Finalist or Qualified.
  • Strong understanding/knowledge of balance sheets.
  • Advanced MS Office user.
