Our Client
We are supporting a Green tech business with a strong reputation in their sector.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to step into industry and gain hands-on group experience. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Group Accountant will play a pivotal role in consolidations, technical accounting, and supporting group-wide reporting. With exposure to senior leadership and involvement in international acquisitions, this role offers both technical challenge and genuine career progression.

Main Duties

  • Prepare and post monthly journals for group holding companies and consolidation entries
  • Compile standalone statutory accounts for group holding companies under IFRS
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations and consolidation of balance sheet and cashflow
  • Support preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packs for the consolidated group
  • Liaise with UK and overseas subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Work with external auditors to support the annual audit process
  • Prepare external returns (ONS, VAT) and support lender/investor reporting requirements
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects, including integration of acquisitions and process improvement

The Successful Candidate

  • ACA qualified, ideally trained in Big 4 or Top 10 audit
  • Strong grounding in financial reporting and consolidations
  • Exposure to multi-currency or international groups desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
