Job description

Group Accountant

Salary: £60,000-£70,000

Location: London

Our client, a private equity backed SaaS business, is seeking a forward-looking, analytical, and operational Group Accountant to take ownership of the group reporting for their European entities. You will have overall responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting for the Balance Sheet. Your contribution on both administrative and operational matters related to group Balance Sheet Accounts will be highly valued.

What you'll do:

  1. Take ultimate responsibility for group reporting of balance sheet asset accounts including cash, receivables, bad debt provisions, intangibles, prepayments, etc.
  2. Prepare group level month reporting and forecasting.
  3. Help prepare the consolidated group accounts in accordance with IFRS reporting requirements.
  4. Maintain ultimate responsibility for fixed asset accounting and intangible asset accounting.
  5. Prepare and review all asset balance sheet reconciliations.
  6. Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
  7. Maintain and update the general ledger.
  8. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  9. Analyse and explain variances between actual results and budget/forecast.
  10. Support the audit by providing documentation and explanations of balance sheet accounts.

What you bring:

  1. Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA).
  2. Proficiency in NetSuite (essential).
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Knowledge of IFRS reporting required.
  7. Experience with local European GAAP reporting beneficial.
  8. European languages would be beneficial.
