Job summary

Cormac is currently seeking Skilled Groundworkers to join our team across Plymouth & Tavistock. Your responsibilities will include laying kerbs, excavating trenches, and maintaining site cleanliness. We offer training and development, competitive pay up to £39,931, with a permanent contract and 45-hour working weeks.

Ideal candidates will have a valid CSCS card, experience in civil engineering, and a UK driving licence. Employee benefits include a generous pension scheme, holiday entitlements, and investment in continuous training.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with experience driving 3.5t and 7.5t vehicles.
• Strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
• Previous experience in civil engineering, construction, or groundworks.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the laying of kerbs and drainage lines.
• Excavating and digging trenches.
• Maintaining a tidy site environment throughout the project.

Skills

Experience driving 3.5t and 7.5t vehicles

Health and safety protocols

Experience in civil engineering or construction

Ability to work outdoors

Education

Valid CSCS card

NRSWA qualification

Tools

Small powered equipment (disc cutters, petrol breakers)
