Job summary

RTL Group is seeking an experienced Groundworks Site Manager for on-site leadership in Exeter, Devon. The role focuses on day-to-day management of groundworks activities, coordinating subcontractors and plant, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery of works across multiple site packages.

You will monitor progress, maintain documentation, and work closely with the Project Manager to drive projects to completion while upholding high standards of health and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Experienced in groundworks and civil engineering on site.
• Strong ability to coordinate subcontractors, plant and resources.
• Proven commitment to safety, quality and site documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise groundworks operations on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors, operatives and plant, plan workloads and allocate resources.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specifications and programmes; monitor progress.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards; conduct inductions and toolbox talks.
• Liaise with clients, engineers and site staff; manage materials and deliveries.
• Keep accurate site records and documentation; identify and resolve issues promptly.
