Job summary

Upfront Recruitment is seeking a Non-working Supervisor - Groundworks and Highways in Sheffield to oversee multiple live site operations. This non-working supervisory role focuses on safety, quality and delivery across groundworks, drainage and tarmac surfacing, with no hands-on work.

You will travel to sites across the region, lead site teams, monitor works to company procedures and report progress to the office.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising groundworks, highways or civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of road construction, drainage and asphalt surfacing.
• Proactive, organised individual with ability to manage multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Visiting multiple live sites throughout the working week.
• Supervising groundworks, highways, drainage and tarmac final surfacing operations.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Identifying site issues and helping teams resolve them quickly and effectively.
• Carrying out quality, safety and progress inspections.
• Reporting progress, updates and any concerns back to the office.
• Liaising with site operatives, management and clients as required.
• Promoting high standards of health and safety across all projects.
• Supporting the successful delivery of projects valued up to £500,000
