Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Working Foreman to join our civil engineering team in Coventry. You will lead groundworks operations on site, ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, and actively participate in day-to-day activities.

The role requires extensive hands-on civils and groundworks experience, the ability to read drawings and specifications, manage labour, coordinate with engineers and subcontractors, and maintain health and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in civil engineering and groundworks.
• Proven experience as a Foreman, Working Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar.
• Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, concrete, foundations, utilities and associated civils.
• The ability to read drawings and understand construction specifications.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• A strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work as part of a team.
• A reliable and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily site operations and allocating labour effectively.
• Reading and working from drawings and specifications.
• Ensuring works are completed to programme and required standards.
• Liaising with site management, engineers and subcontractors.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site.
• Carrying out quality checks and resolving issues as they arise.
• Leading by example and being prepared to get hands-on when required.
