Streamline Search Ltd. in Nottingham is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for Groundworks & Civils to join the commercial team on projects across residential and commercial developments.

The role focuses on commercial management, take-offs, measurements, estimates, valuations, and price variations while liaising with clients, main contractors and site teams to deliver projects within budget.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in groundworks, civils, construction or a related environment.
• Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, roads, earthworks and utilities for groundworks.
• Ability to understand drawings, quantities, costs and project requirements.
• Strong communication, organisational and numerical skills.
• Commercial awareness and willingness to develop.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of groundworks and civils projects.
• Carry out take-offs, measurements, estimates and valuations.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender enquiries.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement and negotiations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts.
• Manage and price variations and additional works.
• Assist with subcontractor applications, payments and final accounts.
• Prepare applications for payment and commercial reports.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors, subcontractors and site teams.
• Work closely with Site and Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered commercially.
