Job summary

GREENLIGHT TRAINING LIMITED is recruiting an apprentice groundworker to gain hands-on experience on construction and civil engineering sites.

You’ll learn practical groundwork skills such as drainage, concreting, paving, and setting-out while following health, safety and environmental rules on live sites.

You will work with supervisors and gain skills via structured work-based learning, preparing you for a career in groundworks.

Responsibilities

• As an apprentice, you’ll work and get hands-on experience
• You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced groundworkers
• Work on construction and civil engineering sites from start to finish
• Prepare groundworks: drainage, concreting, paving, roads and utilities
• Follow health, safety and environmental rules at all times
• Use hand tools, power tools and basic setting-out equipment
• Work as part of a team with supervisors and other trades
• Learn practical groundwork skills on live sites
