Job summary

Brandwells Construction offers a Groundwork Apprenticeship with four placements in the groundworks team. Salary to be discussed at interview. Training includes a Groundworker (level 2) course through South Gloucestershire and Stroud College, on a 40-hour week schedule over 1 year 6 months.

As an apprentice you will gain hands-on experience, learn health, safety and environmental practices, and work alongside experienced staff on site.

Qualifications

• Must have CSCS card or test booked to apply.
• Apprenticeship includes regular college-based training.
• Willingness to learn on-site tasks during the programme.

Responsibilities

• Gaining an understanding of health, safety and environmental practices and risk assessments.
• Work safely and follow site procedures and health guidance.
• Interpret and follow drawings and use basic setting out equipment.
• Operate power tools and equipment on site.
• Gauge and mix mortars and concrete by hand and by mixer.
• Install and test basic drainage and ducting.
