18 Recruitment Limited in Manchester is seeking an experienced Groundworker to join a social housing repairs team on a permanent basis. You will carry out external repairs, paving, drainage, fencing, and groundwork across occupied and void properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety.

Applicants should have proven groundworks experience, a full clean UK driving licence, and excellent customer service skills to work around tenants.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Groundworker within repairs and maintenance.
• Experience working within social housing is highly desirable.
• Ability to carry out fencing, paving, drainage, concreting, and reinstatement works.
• Experience operating small plant and equipment is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Carry out a wide range of external repairs and maintenance works within social housing properties.
• Complete paving, flagging, and pathway repairs.
• Install and repair fencing, gates, posts, and boundary structures.
• Carry out drainage repairs, maintenance, and excavation works.
• Undertake concreting, kerbing, and reinstatement works.
• Repair damaged footpaths, access routes, and communal areas.
• Complete groundwork associated with property refurbishments and improvement programmes.
• Carry out excavation and trenching works as required.
• Install and repair external drainage systems and gullies.
• Undertake minor brickwork, slabbing, and landscaping works.
• Maintain safe and tidy working areas at all times.
• Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Accurately complete job sheets and maintenance records.
• Deliver excellent customer service when working around tenants and residents.
