About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Groundworker with a strong background in working with buried services to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising site operatives, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with company and client requirements.

This role requires particular expertise in the safe identification and management of underground utility services. Ideally, you will hold a valid EUSR Utility Mapping & Surveying (Cat & Genny) ticket, enabling you to confidently carry out cable avoidance and service detection activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate detection and marking of underground utility services using Cat & Genny equipment.

  • Review drawings and plans to identify buried services and mitigate risks during excavation works.

  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements at all times.

  • Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and operatives to ensure clear communication and efficient working

About You

  • Proven experience as a Groundworker, or similar role within civil engineering or utilities.

  • Strong knowledge of buried services and safe excavation practices.

  • EUSR Utility Mapping & Surveying ticket (Cat & Genny) highly desirable.

  • Ability to read and interpret utility drawings and site plans.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on safety.

  • CSCS card (essential); SSSTS/SMSTS (preferred).

  • A proactive and safety-first attitude.
