Salary: £16,528 per annum

About the role

We are seeking a Groundworker Apprentice to join our team in Bridgwater, Somerset. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain a Level 2 Groundworker qualification while working on essential infrastructure projects. You will work with our Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks team to provide design, build, and maintenance solutions that protect the UK's critical services and assets.

Responsibilities
  • Install underground utilities safely and accurately.
  • Set out and install above-ground services such as kerbs and street furniture; lay and finish concrete to approved levels.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, including Building Information Modelling (BIM) and site documentation.
  • Support ground preparation and use geo-membranes for soil stabilization during excavations and reinstatement.
  • Attend college (Bridgwater and Taunton College) on a block release basis.
Candidate requirements

This role is ideal if you:

  • Have a GCSE (or Level 2 equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Are willing to learn and enthusiastic.
  • Are well-organized.
