Job summary

Construction & Property Recruitment seeks experienced Groundworkers and Plant Operators for water infrastructure projects. Join a civil engineering team delivering essential public utility works, including Scottish Water assets, with strict health and hygiene standards.

Ideal candidates will have civils/utilities groundworks experience, valid safety accreditations (CSCS, EUSR Water Hygiene, DOMS) and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven groundworks and deep drainage experience in civils/utilities.
• Valid CSCS Card is essential.
• Valid EUSR National Water Hygiene accreditation.
• DOMS certification (essential for Scottish Water sites).
• Full UK Driving Licence is required for remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all groundworks including excavation, trenching, bedding, pipe laying to falls, backfill and compaction.
• Safely install and reinstate utilities, ducting and deep drainage works.
• Work on live clean water sites following DOMS and EUSR Water Hygiene protocols.
• Read and interpret site drawings, specifications and drainage plans.
• Support general site prep and assist machine operators when needed.
