Job summary

Leggwork is recruiting a skilled Groundworker for a civil engineering project in Bradford. You will carry out drainage, kerbing and trenching works, and work safely near other contractors during sheet piling operations. The role involves 10-hour shifts on site, with CIS payment and weekly pay. The contract is for 6 months or longer, with potential extensions. Experience on highways projects and a Full UK Driving Licence are desirable.

RATE OF PAY: £20-22 per hour, CIS, paid weekly

THE ROLE

Leggwork is a recruitment business and is acting as an employment business for this vacancy. We are recruiting a groundworker for a civil engineering project in Bradford. We are looking for experienced skilled operativeswho have good highways experience and are confident carrying out drainage and kerbing works. The successful operatives must be comfortable working safely in close proximity to other contractors who will be undertaking sheet piling operations.

Working Hours:

• 10-hour shifts required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be expected to:

• Carry out civil engineering works
• Undertake drainage works
• Trenching
• Dumper driving
• Pipe laying
• Work safely in while undertaking sheet piling operations
• Follow site health and safety procedures and instructions
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout the project

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience as a groundworker
• Proven drainage and kerbing skills
• Ability to work safely around other contractors and ongoing sheet piling operations
• Right to work in the UK
