Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking Experienced Groundworkers for a long-term role in Borehamwood. The position offers a pay rate of £23.30 per hour (CIS) and requires CSCS card ownership, own hand tools, and valid right to work in the UK.

Duties include trenching, drainage installation, and precise pipework connections. Candidates will work with excavators and banking machines on site, following strict safety protocols and site requirements.

Qualifications

Hours: 9 Hours paid per day

Contract Type: Long-term

Start Date: Monday 26th October

Key Responsibilities

• Trench Excavation: Digging, preparing, and safely managing trenches for drainage and utility installations.
• Drainage & Pipework: Laying and installing new pipework and drainage systems to exact site specifications.
• Connections Work: Executing accurate connections to existing and new drainage systems, ensuring all joints are secure and fully operational.
• Safe Trench Working: Working closely alongside 360 Excavators, banking machines, and strictly adhering to all deep excavation health and safety protocols.

What You Need to Apply (Requirements)

• Tickets: A valid CSCS Card is strictly required (CPCS/NPORS for Dumper/Roller is a bonus but not essential).
• Tools & Equipment: Must have your own standard hand tools relevant to drainage works.
• PPE: Your own 5-point Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, high-vis vest, steel-toe safety boots, gloves, and glasses).
• Experience: Proven, solid experience specifically in deep/shallow drainage, pipework, and trenching.
• Right to Work: Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
