An established industry player is seeking a skilled drainage technician with at least 5 years of experience in deep drainage pipe laying. The ideal candidate will have a CSCS Card and be familiar with trench support systems and health & safety compliance. This role involves working at depths of 6–8 meters, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and utilizing proper equipment for excavation. Experience:
Minimum 5 years verifiable experience in deep drainage pipe laying.
Demonstrable experience working at depths of 6–8 meters, including trench support systems (e.g., trench boxes, shoring).
Certification Requirements:
CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker or higher):
Ideally with Drainage (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or 3) qualification.
Confined Space Entry Certification:
Medium or High Risk confined space training required (in accordance with Water UK or C&G 6150-03/6151-03 standards).
Health & Safety Compliance:
Familiarity with deep excavation hazards, trench collapse risk, water ingress, gas monitoring.
Awareness and use of temporary works systems and Permit to Work procedures.
Current Manual Handling, CAT & Genny, and First Aid training preferred.
