Job summary

Park Holidays UK is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to keep our parks well-maintained, clean and inviting. You will be responsible for grass cutting, hedges, flowerbeds, litter disposal, and assisting with caravan/lodge siting, with a role that spans outdoor duties across our many holiday parks.

The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, can work independently or in a team, and has strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and gardening.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and ability to work under pressure.
• Professional attitude with a positive, can-do approach.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass and maintain lawn areas to high standards.
• Trim hedges and maintain shrubs.
• Lay bark and maintain flowerbeds.
• General gardening duties including planting and upkeep.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish and manage bin areas.
• Distribute deliveries to relevant departments.
• Assist with moving/siting caravans and lodges.
• Support other departments with ad hoc duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety.

Overview

We are looking for an Grounds Maintenance Operative to ensure our park stays well-maintained, clean, and inviting. You will be responsible for all grounds maintenance duties, ensuring that green spaces are immaculate and that facilities are kept in top condition. This role offers a variety of tasks and is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors.

Job Duties

• Cutting grass and maintaining lawn areas to high standards
• Trimming hedges and maintaining shrubbery
• Laying bark and maintaining flowerbeds
• General gardening duties, including planting and upkeep of green areas
• Collecting and disposing of rubbish/litter and managing bin areas
• Distributing deliveries to relevant departments
• Assisting with moving and siting of caravans and lodges
• Supporting other departments with ad hoc duties as needed
• Ensuring compliance with all company policies and health & safety regulations
• Litter picking and keeping park areas clean

Requirements

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance and gardening
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
• A professional attitude and a positive, can-do personality
• Experience in caravan park environments is an advantage
• Plumbing experience would be beneficial, though not essential
• Willingness to wear company-provided uniform and maintain a neat appearance
• Flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the park
