Job summary

Community Gateway is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the Green Care team in Preston. This 37-hour-per-week role involves grass cutting, hedge cutting, pruning and weed control across CGA’s communities, with a focus on keeping spaces well kept.

You will work with petrol-powered machinery, including ride-on mowers, and should have a good health and safety knowledge. The post offers a Real Living Wage, a strong benefits package and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Experience with petrol powered ground care machinery is preferred but enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety is important.
• Interest in maintaining green spaces and soft landscaping across Preston communities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CGA’s green spaces through grass cutting, hedge cutting, pruning and weed control.
• Deliver soft landscaping services and improvements in Preston and surrounding areas.
