Grounds Maintenance Operative

Location: Peterborough
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Contract: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent

Hours:

• October – March: 8:15am – 4:00pm

• April – September: 8:00am – 4:45pm

The Role

Love working outdoors? Know your way around a ride-on mower and take real pride in keeping green spaces looking their best?

We're looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a friendly, hardworking team maintaining sports grounds, parks and public open spaces in Yaxley.

This isn't just a grass-cutting job. You'll be helping to maintain outdoor spaces enjoyed by the local community, making sure they're safe, well-kept and looking their best throughout the year.

Previous professional groundskeeping experience is essential. We're looking for someone who knows how to maintain natural grass and can confidently operate professional grounds maintenance equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

What You Might Not Like

You'll be working outdoors in all weathers, and this is a physically demanding role.

During the growing season, things get busy, and you'll need to be confident using machinery and managing your workload.

This position isn't suitable for someone with only domestic gardening experience or someone looking to move into groundskeeping for the first time.
