Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to perform grounds care across communal areas and courts. You will operate hand and power tools, maintain equipment, and contribute to mowing, edging and planting tasks as part of a team delivering high service standards.

Roles include snow/ice clearance seasonally, reporting issues, and ensuring safety and COSHH compliance while covering cleaning duties when needed. A full UK driving licence and customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and outdoor upkeep.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass cutting, edging, hedge trimming, planting and litter clearance to spec.
• Operate hand and power tools; perform daily checks and report maintenance needs.
• Report graffiti, vandalism and external repairs for communal areas.
• Assist with snow and ice clearance and gritting when seasonally required.
• Follow quality standards and health and safety regulations (COSHH).
• Keep equipment clean and stored properly; perform checks.
• Handle herbicides/pesticides safely and report invasive weeds.
• Cover cleaning duties during holidays and sickness.
• Occasionally undertake weekend deep-clean coverage.
