Job summary

HL Services (London) Ltd is seeking a proactive Team Leader to manage a small grounds maintenance crew across residential sites in Hempstead. This hands-on role requires hands-on leadership and a commitment to high-quality outdoor work.

You will plan daily schedules, monitor safety, and ensure tasks such as mowing, hedging and planting are carried out to standard while delivering excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year's experience leading a grounds maintenance or landscaping team.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage a small team.
• Good knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe working practices.
• Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a small grounds maintenance team.
• Plan and coordinate daily work schedules to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Ensure all work meets high standards and is completed within timescales.
• Communicate professionally with residents, clients, and the office team.
• Carry out basic checks and maintenance of tools, machinery, and vehicles.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures and company policies are followed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
