HL Services is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to manage and mentor a small crew in Hempstead. The role focuses on hands-on leadership, delivering high-quality grounds care across residential developments and ensuring safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year's experience leading a grounds maintenance or landscaping team.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage a small team.
• Good knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe working practices.
• Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a small grounds maintenance team.
• Carry out a wide range of grounds maintenance duties, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, planting, litter picking, leaf clearance, and general upkeep.
• Plan and coordinate daily work schedules to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Communicate professionally with residents, clients, and the office team.
• Carry out basic checks and maintenance of tools, machinery, and vehicles.
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and company policies are followed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
