Job summary

A leading grounds maintenance contractor is seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Team Leader in England. The role involves maintaining outdoor spaces and leading a team to ensure sites are safe and visually appealing. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in landscaping and health & safety compliance, along with a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture preferred.
• Able to operate landscaping machinery and tools safely and effectively.
• Good level of physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, pruning, and general horticultural tasks.
• Ensure safe working practices in line with company health & safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public or clients on-site.

Job description

RG Setsquare are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join a well established grounds maintenance contractor. You will play a key role in maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard.

As part of the team, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of commercial and residential sites - ensuring they remain clean, safe, and visually appealing.

The Role will be working on a Permanent basis

Hours of work are 6:30am-4:30pm

Pay Rate 13-13.19ph PAYE

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, pruning, and general horticultural tasks

• Operate and maintain machinery and tools (e.g. mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers)

• Perform general grounds duties including litter picking, leaf clearing, and weed control

• Ensure safe working practices in line with company health & safety procedures

• Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently

• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public or clients on-site

About You:

• Minimum 3 years previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture preferred

• Able to operate landscaping machinery and tools safely and effectively

• Good level of physical fitness - the role is physically demanding and involves working outdoors in all weather

• A proactive and positive attitude with a strong work ethic

• Full UK driving licence (essential)

• PA1/PA6 pesticide certification (desirable but not essential)
