As a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our grounds maintenance operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of grounds maintenance operatives in performing a variety of tasks, including mowing, trimming, planting, and debris removal.
  • Providing guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure high-quality work and adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
  • Planning and organizing daily work assignments, prioritising tasks, and ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Conducting regular inspections of grounds to identify extra maintenance works and address any client issues promptly.
  • Monitoring stock levels of tools, and supplies in your vehicle, working with your Contract Manager as appropriate.
  • Promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and fostering a positive work environment for all team members.
  • Winter gritting and snow clearance will also perform part of this role.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of groundskeeping techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • A commitment to Health and safety whilst able to adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
