Job description

Grounds Maintenance Staff – Newton Abbot

Our client requires Grounds Maintenance Staff to carry out tasks such as strimming and hard and soft landscaping. Working in teams, you will be responsible for a range of activities from grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance, and much more

What we are looking for:

• Must have some experience within the grounds maintenance industry
• Capable of working safely using various equipment and hand tools (e.g., strimmers, backpack blowers, push mowers, etc.)
• Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good time management skills and the ability to work in a demanding environment
• Enthusiasm, good communication skills
• Good understanding of health and safety
• You must have a full, clean driving license; applications without one cannot be considered, unfortunately
• Will understand the importance of working as a team
• Reliable and conscientious with a can-do attitude
• A willingness to learn
• Ability to work on one’s initiative

Hours of work:

Monday–Friday, but there may be some weekend overtime available

Rate of Pay

• £13.00 per hour
• These will be PAYE positions, you will benefit from Accrued Holiday Pay from day one
• Pension contributions (after a qualifying period)
• Weekly Pay
• No Umbrella payments or fees
• Only Tax and National Insurance deductions, and this will be shown on your payslip

This is a temp-to-perm role; the right people can be offered permanent roles
