Job summary

Nexus Careers Group Ltd in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative for full-time, temporary work with a strong path to permanency. You will help keep outdoor spaces safe and well-kept across Nottingham, performing grass cutting, hedge trimming and vegetation clearance.

Ideal applicants hold a Full UK driving licence, MEWP qualification/experience, and a proven grounds maintenance background with a solid health and safety understanding.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Valid MEWP qualification/experience.
• Previous grounds maintenance experience.
• Good understanding of health & safety.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Chainsaw experience/qualification is massively preferred.
• Experience using a range of grounds maintenance machinery.
• Landscaping or arboricultural experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of grounds maintenance duties to keep outdoor areas safe and tidy.
• Grass cutting, strimming and hedge cutting.
• Vegetation clearance and maintenance.
• Operate MEWPs safely and efficiently.
• Use grounds maintenance machinery and equipment.
• Chainsaw work where required.
• General outdoor maintenance duties.
• Work as part of a team to complete jobs to a high standard.
