Job description

Grounds Maintenance Operative – Torquay, Torquay

Our client requires Grounds Maintenance Operatives to carry out tasks such as strimming, hard and soft landscaping. Working in teams, you will be responsible for a range of activities including grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance, and more.

What we are looking for:
  • Experience within the grounds maintenance industry (preferred)
  • Capable of working safely using a range of equipment and hand tools (strimmers, backpack blowers, push mowers, etc.)
  • Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all-weather conditions
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work in a demanding environment
  • Good understanding of health and safety
  • Ideally, have a full, clean driving license
  • Understand and value teamwork
  • Reliable and conscientious with a can-do attitude
  • A willingness to learn
  • Ability to work on one's own initiative
  • CSCS card
Hours of work:

Monday – Friday, with some weekend overtime available at premium rates.

Rate of Pay:
  • These are PAYE positions, so you will benefit from accrued holiday pay from day one
  • Weekly pay
  • No umbrella payments or fees
  • Only tax and National Insurance deductions, which will be shown on your payslip

This is a temporary role, but there is a possibility it could become permanent in the future.
